SERVICES PROVIDED AT CARE ANIMAL CENTER

APPOINTMENTS

Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.

We are available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our veterinarians will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen. We also provide a drop off service and will care for and medically treat your pet during the day for a small added charge.

BATHING

Treat your pet to a luxurious bath. Our special, cleansing baths remove dirt, debris and that doggie odor leaving your pet feeling fresh and revitalized. If scratching is a problem, our medicated baths contain soothing agents that stop the itching. bathing services include nail trims, ear cleaning and anal sac cleaning.

BIRDS, REPTILES, RABBITS AND SMALL MAMMALS

Veterinary medicine for exotic pets is growing as the popularity of these animals increase.
With better public education in health, nutritional and environmental management, all species
have a greater chance for living longer and healthier lives. Our veterinary staff  possesses
experience in the care and treatments of exotics.

BOARDING
Our clinic is your pet's home away from home.  Here at Care Animal Center's newly revamped boarding facility, we treat your pets to the pampering of a a lifetime for however long they stay with us.  Our highly qualified and experienced kennel attendants lavish care and affection on each of our patients whether they are boarding long term or just for an afternoon.

DENTAL CARE
Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Advanced dental care, including root canals, oral surgery, caps, and braces are available through referral services.

EMERGENCY AND CRITICAL CARE
In any emergency, seconds count. Our experienced staff is backed up by our mobile resuscitation unit, stocked and equipped to administer the ABCs of basic life support -Airway, Breathing, Circulation/Cardiac compressions. Emergency care is offered during regular business hours. In addition, we are a vital participant in a veterinary emergency service that has a veterinarian on call 24 hours a day.

BRONCHOSCOPY
High-tech fiber optics permit direct visual examination of your pet's respiratory system. This allows for
more accurate diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the nasal cavity, trachea and lungs.

ENDOSCOPY
High-tech fiber optics permit direct visual examination and biopsy of your pet's gastrointestinal system.
This allows for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of oral, esophageal, stomach, colon and even upper intestinal tract disease. Foreign objects can also be removed without the need for surgery.

FULLY STOCKED PHARMACY
We stock a wide range of the best veterinary drugs in the animal health care field. Our staff is trained to help you decide which flea, tick, and heartworm preventives are best for your pet. Many of the products we recommend are guaranteed.

HOSPICE & EUTHANASIA SERVICES
Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful.We work with clients to ensure their pet's comfort and dignity. Services include taking care of the remains as directed by the client. Cremation and burial services are available.

INTERNAL MEDICINE
We cover all areas of internal medicine, including: cardiology; ophthalmology; neurology; dermatology;
gastroenterology; orthopedic surgery; oncology; and endocrinology, among others.

IMMUNIZATIONS AND WELLNESS CARE
We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in wellness programs have rewards for both pets and owners. Our wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include: comprehensive physical exam; internal parasite testing; heartworm and flea control; vaccinations; spay or neuter packages; specialized blood testing for all life stages.

DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY
Digital Radiography or X-rays  help our veterinarians evaluate musculoskeletal, cardiovascular (cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems.

MICROCHIPPING
Microchips implanted under the skin have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families.We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery.

NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING
Some pets require special diets and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Our trained and certified staff is available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep him or her happy, healthy and active.

PAIN MANAGEMENT
Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people.We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals are the essence of good patient care.

ULTRASOUND
This non-invasive, state-of-the-art technology uses sound waves to painlessly examine specific internal organs, primarily the heart and abdominal organs. Occasionally ultrasound guided biopsies may be taken to assist in diagnosis, eliminating the need for exploratory surgery.  Pregnancy exams are also available.

SURGERY
We offer the most advanced surgical techniques and technology. All patients are carefully screened for safety, and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. Surgical services and facilities include: board certified surgeon available for consultation or referral; fully trained veterinary and technical staff, to ensure the safest, most efficient, state-of-the-art procedures for your pet; advanced sterilization techniques; ECG and oxygen saturation monitors; intensive after surgery care and full blood testing.

SPECIALISTS & TELEMEDICINE
Sometimes conditions arise that require veterinarians with specialized training. Through the use of telemedicine we are able to utilize the expertise and training of veterinarians such as board certified veterinary cardiologists, dermatologists, oncologists, neurologists, radiologists and ophthalmologists.

Care Animal Center accepts payment via cash, check, MasterCard, or Visa. So that we can continue to provide you high quality service utilizing the best medical technologies, we request that payment be made at the time services are rendered.

We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges.
