drclark.jpgKen Clark, DVM

A graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Clark has been involved in private practice since 1984. He is an owner of Care Animal Center where he practices companion animal medicine and surgery. Dr. Clark is a member of the AVMA, ALVMA, SEAVMA,and GDVMA veterinary medical associations. He is a past president of the GDVMA. He is also a member of the Dothan Kiwanis Club where he has served as past president.

Robert Martin, DVM 

drmartin.jpgDr. Martin is a graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. He has been in private practice since 1980 and is an owner of Care Animal Center. Dr. Martin is a member of the AVMA, ALVMA, SEAVMA and GDVMA. He has served as past president of the GDVMA and the ALVMA.   Dr. Martin was selected as the Veterinarian of the Year in 2005 by the Alabama Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Martin currently practices companion animal medicine and surgery. He is a member of the Dothan Kiwanis Club and Mt. Gilead Baptist Church where he serves as a deacon. Dr. Martin and his wife, Liz, are the proud parents of three children Robert, Joshua, and Nanette.

Dr. Duke graduated from Mississippi State University in 1995. He is a member of the American, Alabama, Southeast Alabama and Greater Dothan Veterinary Medical Associations.  He has served as president to the Southeast and Greater Dothan VMA.  Dr. Duke has been a member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians since 1997.  He currently practices companion, avian, and exotic animal medicine and surgery.  He is also a member of the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians (AEMV) and the Association of Reptilian and Amphibian Veterinarians (ARAV).  The Duke family currently have a cat-Malawi.  Dr. Duke and Elizabeth are the proud parents of John William, Abigail, Caleb, Elijah, Joshua, Gideon, Susanna and Luke. They both are members of Mount Gilead Baptist Church. 

drholland_1.jpgKirk Holland, DVM

Dr. Holland practices companion animal medicine and surgery and is an owner of Care Animal Center.  He graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine with honors in 2000.  He is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Alabama VMA, Southeast Alabama VMA, and the Greater Dothan VMA.  Dr. Holland serves on the Alabama VMA Executive Board and is currently the President-Elect. He is a past president of the Greater Dothan VMA and the Southeast Alabama VMA's.  He is married to Kathleen and they have a son, Will.  They have a Golden Retriever named Aubie.  The Hollands are members of Logos Baptist Church and reside in Dothan.

Jenny Baryla

Jenny has been working in the animal field for 10+ years. She joined the Care Team in May 2011. Her experience ranges from dealing with dogs & cats to pot bellied pigs & horses! She really enjoys working with new pet owners and providing her expertise. Currently, Jenny has 3 dogs and 1 snake...this number changes regularly as she fosters pets in need of homes. Outside of work she enjoys riding her dirt bike and going shopping.

Rita Campbell

Before working at Care, Rita worked locally for 25 years as an RN. She has years of experience with most farm and domesticated animals. Rita's favorite part of veterinary medicine is labor and delivery. She has two grandchildren who share her love of animals and nature. Rita currently shares her home with her 5 dogs.  Rita also creates personalized cremation bags for Care Animal Center's clients that have lost their furry companions.

Mackenzie Dixon, Marketing

Mackenzie moved to Dothan in 2011 from Troy, AL.  While in Troy, Mac studied Marketing at Troy University and recently finished her Marketing Degree.  Her favorite part of her job is interacting with clients and patients, as well as using her marketing skills at work! Outside of work, Mac enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Buoy (Golden Retriever) & Cash (Lab/Springer Mix)! 

Heather Hobbs

Heather has worked in the veterinary field for 17 years. She has been at Care Animal Center for five years. She loves assisting in surgery and takes great pride in her nursing skills. Heather and her husband, Johnnie, live in Dothan along with their six dachshunds.

Jordan Lawrence

Jordan moved to Dothan in February 2013 from Montgomery Alabama where she worked as a technician/client relations for a local Vet. She has 3 dogs and 3 cats! Jordan was born and raised on an animal farm so her love for animals starts young! We are so excited to have Jordan as the newest member of our team!

Scott Palmer, Kennel Manager

Scott graduated from Snead State University in 2002 with an AAS in Veterinary Technology. He has worked at Care Animal Center for over 14 years. Scott, his wife, Vanessa, and their beautiful daughter, Marydelle, live in Dothan and are members of Covenant United Methodist Church. They have three dogs and three cats.

Janet Shockley, LVT

Janet is a 1978 graduate of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and the University of Georgia. She has been at Care Animal for 13 years. She has been an officer and member of the AVTA & AVMA. She also previously served on the State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners. She received the Alabama Lay Person of the Year in 2005. Janet has two daughters, Kristi and Britni. Janet and her husband, Evan, live in Climax, Georgia. "GO DAWGS!"

Denise Money

Denise moved to Dothan in 2007 from Ft. Gaines, GA where she worked for State of Georgia, "GO DAWGS!" She has a daughter and grandson living in Jacksonville, FL and a son who lives here in Dothan.  She has two dogs, Dreyfus and Delilah.  Denise has been with Care for over a year and she absolutely loves working around animals!

Michelle Smith

Recently a new mommy to Louis Gregory Smith, Michelle is a graduate of Rehobeth High School and Wallace Community College. She has an AAS in Accounting and Bookkeeping and  has been at Care for four years. She has lived in Dothan all of her life with her two pets, Gypsy and Gurl. She attends a hometown Church in Headland and is a huge Auburn Football fan. "WAR EAGLE!"


Jennifer Lazenby

Jennifer joined our team in October 2012. While she is new to us, she is not new to grooming! Jennifer studied grooming with Penn Foster College. When she finished she worked with PetSmart and attended their Grooming Academy.  We are so excited to have her and we are very impressed with all the grooms she has done! Jennifer grew up here in the Wiregrass and has always had a love for animals.  She enjoys spending her off time with daughter, husband, and their two dogs! Jamison Geier 

Jamison joined the Care Animal Team in October 2012.  He is a freshman at Wallace studying Forestry. His favorite thing about working at Care is being in the Kennel and working with all the animals.  Outside of work, Jamison enjoys church softball, spending time with his friends, and fishing. 

Logan Leiser

Logan joined our team in February 2013.  He is a Senior at Dothan High School and graduates this May.  After graduation Logan plans on working full time at Care until December when he plans to join the Army! In his spare time, Logan races BMX and spending time with friends. His favorite thing about his job is working with the larger breed dogs!

Jeffrey Noble, Maintenance Engineer

Newly Wed, Jeff, has been with Care Animal Center for 14 years.  He is originally from Ft. Pierce, FL "GO GATORS", and moved to Dothan almost 20 years ago.  Jeff is an early bird and typically comes into work hours before opening to make sure Care is ready to take on the day!
